Zeina Halwani

“Inspiration is everywhere,” said Zeina Halwani, interior designer and general manager for the Southfield Gorman’s store. “But you have to make your home your own.”

Her “artistic eye” ensures that her clients’ finished spaces will be unique to them.

“My goal is for them to have something cozy, warm and inviting,” she said. “The reward for me is to see my customers happy in the space we’ve finished.”

Zeina always has had a passion for design, texture and color, perhaps because her father had his own manufacturing plant, allowing her to play with wood and fabric samples as a child. Fresh out of high school, she moved to California and opened a company, selling her art, then moved with her husband to Lebanon, where she received a master’s in interior architecture.

With Gorman’s since 2000, Zeina does both commercial projects, like the McLaren Hospital in Pontiac, and residential projects, drawing inspiration from her travels and European architecture. Zeina’s own style is Transitional, leaning more toward the clean lines of Contemporary, with some Traditional pieces blended in.

Zeina has consistently been the company’s best performer in sales.
