Patti Mitchell

Patti Mitchell grew up in design; her father was an industrial designer who built model computers for a living.

“It came from my dad,” she said.

Patti earned a degree in interior design. She has more than 35 years of industry experience, 24 of them at Gorman’s, with a vast knowledge of various design styles. She has worked on a wide range of projects, working with builders and developers to furnishing award-winning show homes – she was part of the design team that furnished the luxury Pinnacle show homes in Rochester, Mich. -- and designing comfortable and functional spaces for residential clients.

Her inspiration is drawn from her customers, their hobbies and their respective lifestyles. She bases her designs around their personalities, and encouraging clients to “stop following people on Instagram and Pinterest” for fashion ideas, but to tap into their own imaginations during the process to elevate what they’re envisioning for their homes.
