She is an “encourager,” Pam Edwards said.
Not only does she encourage her clients to consider a design approach that is perhaps “outside the box,” she also encourages use of color in their homes.
“Color is so uplifting,” she said.
With more than 45 years of experience, Pam holds a vast knowledge of design, working first in the wallpaper and carpeting industries, as well as in custom window treatments, before joining the Marshall Field’s design team, where she spent 14 years expanding her expertise.
Pam also spent time as an independent designer, working on projects for commercial builders and renovation companies, until she realized that she missed working with residential clients, building relationships on a much more personal level. The realization led her to join the design team at Gorman’s.
“The basis of my design,” she said, “is not necessarily pushing the latest trends, but finding out what suits the client’s needs, what their personality is and what the influence of color will be on their lives.”
