“As a kid, I moved my mother’s furniture around the house all the time,” Interior Designer Nancy Pacella said. “That was natural for me.”
Nancy’s fascination with interior design as a youngster was further inspired by her uncle, who built unique, contemporary homes on the east coast.
After studying marketing and business management, getting married and having children, Nancy took some time off. When it was time to return to work, she took a leap of faith and followed her passion.
Now with more than 25 years of experience in the design industry, 15 of those years on Gorman’s team, Nancy works out of the Troy showroom, helping clients create transformative spaces tailored to their lifestyles.
“Dimensions matter. A lot of people don’t realize that,” she said. “I start with a floor plan.”
While she compiles accurate measurements, ensuring correct fit and placement, Nancy listens to each client intently throughout the design process.
“Every day is different,” she said.
A fan of both traditional and modern designs, Nancy considers her personal style to be transitional. She is experienced in all styles and enjoys mixing different pieces and textures together for an eclectic look.
