“I want to be part of the family,” Michele Weston said. And different generations of the same families return to her over the years for home design, perhaps drawn to the approach taken by the 40-year veteran of the industry: enthusiasm and honesty.
“If I don’t think something will work, I will tell you. I won’t let it ride,” she said. “There are a countless choices out there and it’s my job to narrow them down to something that will suit you and your circumstances and your home and your family.”
Michele’s career began at Michigan State University where she earned a degree in interior design; she credits impactful mentors for her continued success throughout the years. Following graduation, Michele was hired as an assistant to a renowned designer in Birmingham. She built on that experience, working at additional design studios, running her own studio for ten years and serving nine years on the design team at Ethan Allen.
Although she considers her personal style to be classic contemporary, Michele can adapt to each client’s desired style and vision, discerned through her expertise at reading her customers and asking the right questions.
