Deanna Rogers

Interior Designer

For Interior Designer Deanna Rogers, creativity has always been a guiding force, from an early dream of becoming a movie director to her eventual path into interiors, visual merchandising and home design.

Deanna first discovered interior design as a student at Sterling Heights High School, where she attended a Career Prep Center and studied visual imaging, including graphic design, visual merchandising and interior design. She also studied culinary arts and had the opportunity to combine both programs for a final project, designing a hibachi lounge complete with a formal design proposal,
materials and approvals.

“I loved it so much,” Deanna said. “That’s when I decided interior design was the field I
wanted to go into.”

After high school and college, Deanna began building her experience at Serena & Lily in Birmingham, where she provided interior design services and developed her client base. She later moved into visual merchandising, working with Pottery Barn Kids and Ashley Furniture.

Today, Deanna’s personal style is shaped by a love of mixing older pieces with newer ones, creating spaces that feel collected, meaningful and deeply personal. Inspired in part by her own home, where she has blended treasured vintage furnishings with more contemporary pieces, she enjoys helping clients design around items that hold value and history.

“This might not be what you see in a magazine, but in your home, it looks beautiful,” Deanna said.

When working with clients, Deanna begins by asking why they are taking on a project and what they want the space to mean in this season of life. She also pays close attention to what clients naturally gravitate toward in the showroom, allowing their instincts to help guide the process.

For Deanna, material matters. She believes thoughtful selections can make a piece more durable, more beautiful and more meaningful for years to come.

“You can put something in the right space and make it feel special because you knew what materials to use,” she said.

Outside of design, Deanna enjoys spending time with her family, including her young daughter.
