Colleen Wagner

Colleen grew up living in major cities such as Chicago and San Francisco, and she credits that early urban exposure for her longtime love of art and design.

Colleen earned a degree from the New York School of Interior Design and has 25 years of experience as a designer, having worked for Norman Brow Interiors, Arhaus Furniture and Thomasville Furniture, and now works at Gorman’s Furniture, Troy showroom. She is also a past president of the International Furnishings and Design Association.

When designing rooms or homes for her clients, Colleen stresses the importance of color. As mixing a range of colors and patterns returns to popularity, she works closely with her clients to showcase all available options and demonstrates what combinations mix well. Colleen listens intently to her client’s wants and needs and ensures a respectful design process.

Colleen considers her own style to be eclectic. She owns several antiques and enjoys mixing contemporary items with pieces that are beautifully made.

“Every piece has a story, and I like to incorporate that,” she said.
